Like a Tree

This is the view from my desk in our front room.  It’s one of my favorite hangouts because of this striking River Birch tree that crowns the landscape and commands the gaze of passers by on the strength of the appeal of its shedded bark

Winter has become Spring—the season of new life and restoration.  Like Spring, the Birch tree is a symbol of new beginnings, regeneration, hope, new dawns, and the promise of what is to come!  The River Birch thrives in wet climates but may also thrive in dryer climates at higher elevations.  They shed their old bark all year round and they prefer sunlight over shade.

So as Spring dawns:

(1) rise above low level things,

(2) shed the old stuff that has been attached to you for too long,

(3) come out of the shadows,

(4) and embrace your new beginning!
